What your sponsorship provides:
1. A Fully Refurbished Laptop:
Every youth receives a high-quality, fully refurbished laptop computer with a charger. This crucial tool will help them complete their schoolwork, explore new interests, and develop digital skills.
2. Internet Access:
Depending on their family’s needs, we provide a modem with 12 months of internet access. In today’s world, reliable internet is essential for learning and staying connected.
3. High-Quality Laptop Bag:
To keep their new laptop safe and accessible, each youth receives a durable and stylish laptop bag.
4. Laptop Support and Repair:
We offer comprehensive support for any issues that arise with their laptop, including repairs and replacements, ensuring they always have the resources they need.
5. Training in Computer Literacy:
Our training classes cover essential computer skills, from basic operations to advanced software usage, equipping youth with the knowledge they need to excel in a digital world.
6. “STRONG Life Skills” Book:
Each youth receives a copy of our empowering book, “STRONG Life Skills,” which provides valuable insights and practical advice for personal growth and success.
7. Workforce Readiness Training:
In addition to receiving the “STRONG Life Skills” book, we also include in-person training in the skills needed to be successful in the workforce, equipping youth for success at work and beyond.
8. Hands-on STEM and Trade Training:
Youth enrolled in our program are able to take trainings in all of the STEM And trade areas we offer at Made New. This includes welding, sewing, woodworking, laser engraving, 3D printing, photography, and much more.
9. Access to Our Makerspace Facility:
For a whole year, your sponsored youth will have access to our state-of-the-art makerspace. They’ll learn hands-on skills in areas like electronics, welding, and more, gaining practical experience and fostering their creativity.
10. Mentoring and Youth Support:
When a youth enters our program, we make sure they understand that we’re here for them. We can act as a mentor to help guide youth on the right path. Additionally, we can help connect youth to other tools and programs they need to achieve their success.
