Partner Highlight: Blackburn

Meet the newest school Made New Makerspace is supporting: Blackburn Alternative High School!

Thanks to a referral from our friends at Prairie STEM, Blackburn reached out to us a few weeks ago seeking technology for the school to start an Esports group. They were also concerned that several of their students didn’t have access to computer technology at home, causing trouble completing schoolwork.

Today, Made New is addressing both of those challenges. This week, the school will receive 15 refurbished computers for their Esports program and library. In addition, we’ve added the school as a partner organization in our Laptops for Learners program. In this program, students at Blackburn will be connected with free refurbished laptops as well as 4G LTE broadband modems that will enable them to succeed in their studies.

We are so thrilled to be adding Blackburn Alternative High School to the growing list of schools and organizations supported by our program!
